A new face for Watermark Radio (watermarkradio.com)

Wmradioshot_3

After months of design work and planning, we finally launched the new version of WatermarkRadio.  The new site features a coverflow application that displays all of our message series over the past several years.  We have also enabled the ability to play video and audio directly from the page, and full search features.   The next version will contain the "channels" concept, where we will aggregate multiple feeds from our various podcasts and blogs so that all of our media is searchable across ministries.  It’s been fun… but I’m happy to finally see version 1.0 set sail!

Aruba Wireless

We implemented the Aruba wireless solution several months ago and we have really enjoyed the solution.  Most importantly, I’ve enjoyed not receiving the support calls because wireless isn’t working!  Bottom line is that we have deployed in our office tower (6 of 8 floors) and our new worship space and coffeeshop.  We used a total of 48 access points, a combination of 60 and 61 models, and a 6000 Series controller.

We are using a captive portal for our guest wifi, which works great.  Some of our mission critical checkin applications are fully running wirelessly with no issues.  I’ve highly recommended this solution to other churches in the area who are looking for a wireless solution that will meet their needs and provide a wireless solution that scales.

It’s been a while…

It’s been a long while since I’ve been posting.  Life has a funny way of moving faster than we imagine.  Over the past several months we’ve seen friends lose marriages, lose a child, and we have watched friends struggle daily with the challenges of a 4 year old child with leukemia.

In the midst of life, we get drawn into the vortex, and then we look up and remember that God is always in control.  He never stopped being in control, we just forgot.  In that light, life isn’t about blogs and technology, or friends, or even family for that matter.  It’s about God.  Always has been, and always will be.
